We had the honor of being presented by the great master of watercolor, our highly esteemed Cesc Farré. On June 6, our International Watercolor Teacher Training Program was presented in this marathon organized by Stephan Urbanovich with Angela Barbi and many other colleagues, where the main references of the activity participated, and was seen by the entire community of watercolorists around the world for 24 hours. You can see the videos of the entire event at this link: video.
Please pay attention to the 23:30 minute. Vladimir Merchensky was commissioned to share some brief ideas about this project in a panel discussion at Fabriano in Acquarello 2020 whose theme was precisely the "importance of teaching and learning in watercolor". Thanks to this event, more voices and stakeholders have joined in the debate on how to implement this project and carry it forward.
Thanks to the management of Bea Strugo, and the organization and convening of our wonderful colleague Atul Panase, the project was presented for debate at the Dubai International Art Center. Born in India and a resident of the UAE for 24 years, Atul is its Country Leader at the FabrianoInAquarello Festival, in Italy. Author of large-format portraits where he mixes the precision of realism with other more playful techniques, and owner of a highly saturated modern language, this outstanding watercolorist and teacher has summoned a group of academics to collaborate with the development of the Program.
The Director of the Higher School of Public Artistic Training of Ayacucho, Marcelino Efrain Taipe, proposes to the project to implement a Certificate Degree for Watercolor Teachers once the curriculum design and teaching materials of the Program are available. Thanks to the management of Nicolás López and the organization of that institution, this conference was held during YAKU International Meeting of Watercolor Painters.
We are deeply grateful to Tere Lojero, vice-president of IWS Globe and organizer of the event that commemorated the International Watercolor Day 2021 for the entire Ibero-American community, for the space. Here we give an overview of the discipline and a detailed justification of each pillar of the Program.
